A menu board is a small freestanding frame for a printed sheet that changes often — a day menu, a price list, a table card. The snap frame opens on all four sides, so the sheet is swapped in seconds without moving the stand or reaching for a tool.
Standard is the plain frame: neutral, and it disappears behind the content. Choose it when the message matters and the holder should not. Fiori has a decorative moulded frame and belongs in traditional restaurants and hotels where the holder is part of the table setting and a bare aluminium edge would look out of place. The mechanism is the same in both. The only real question is whether the frame should read as furniture or as hardware.
A4 is a table format, read by one or two people sitting down at arm’s length. A3 is for a counter, a lobby or an entrance, where the sheet is read standing, from a metre or two away, usually in passing. The frame rotates between portrait and landscape, so the same board handles a tall menu today and a wide price list tomorrow. Both sizes take a double-sided insert, which is worth doing wherever people approach from two directions — a board with a blank back only works half the time.
Metal base, height-adjustable telescopic leg, snap frame. The base is the part that decides whether the board survives a busy room: it is sturdy metal, and its weight is what keeps the stand upright when a chair catches the leg. The telescopic leg sets the reading height for a seated table, a standing counter or a doorway, so one stand covers all three positions. The graphic sits behind anti-reflective PVC, which matters most under downlights and beside a window — glare, not size, is what usually stops a menu being read.

The difference is the base and the styling, not the function. Fiori is the decorative one for a restaurant or a hotel lobby; Standard is the plain frame for a shop or an office.
Yes — the frame rotates on the post, so the same stand takes a portrait menu and a landscape price list.
No. The stand is height-adjustable, which is what lets the same product work at a counter and at a doorway.
