An L-banner takes its name from its profile: the graphic stands vertically and a single leg runs back from the base, making an L. That leg is why it needs almost no floor depth — around 25 cm against a roll up’s 35 to 40 — and why it is the display that fits where nothing else does.
Narrow aisles and shop entrances, where a roll up base would be a trip hazard.
Beside a counter or till, flat against the side, taking no queue space.
Against a wall, where nobody sees the back anyway and the rear leg is invisible.
Firmer than an X-banner because the graphic is held in a rigid frame rather than under corner tension — the print stays flatter and reads better up close. Lighter and cheaper than a roll up, but the graphic does not retract into a cassette, so it travels as a rolled tube rather than inside the frame. That is the trade: less floor space and less money, slightly more care in transport.
60 cm for a counter or a narrow entrance, 80 cm where the graphic needs to be read from across a room. Both stand at normal banner height.
Not for outdoors. The single rear leg gives it a small footprint and a correspondingly small resistance to wind.
Replaceable graphic. The frame is reusable; order a new print per campaign.
Pairs well. Two L-banners flanking a doorway do the job of one wide roll up and leave the doorway clear.

Bleed: leave 40–60 mm extra at the bottom — that part rolls into the cassette and is never seen.

Floor depth. An L-banner needs around 25 cm front to back against a roll up's 35 to 40, which is why it fits beside a till, in a narrow aisle or flat against a shop entrance where a roll up base would be a trip hazard.
Firmer, actually. The graphic sits in a rigid frame rather than under corner tension, so the print stays flatter and reads better close up. But it is not for outdoors — a single rear leg gives it a small footprint and correspondingly little wind resistance.
Yes, the frame is reusable and the print is ordered per campaign. It travels as a rolled tube rather than inside a cassette, so it needs slightly more care in transport.
