A flag pole is not a mast — it is a flexible shaft designed to bend in the wind rather than resist it. The construction combines aluminium with a fibreglass upper element, and that flex is what keeps a flag moving and readable, and what stops the whole assembly going over in a gust. Each set includes a polyester carrying bag for transport and storage. The base is ordered separately.
Standard is the everyday teardrop pole and the right answer for most events, promotions and short-term outdoor use. Premium has a heavier wall section and holds a larger flag steadier, which is what you want for a permanent outdoor position where the pole stays up week after week. Rectangle takes a straight-edged flag with a top crossbar; it reads as more formal and suits corporate frontages, dealerships and offices where a teardrop looks too much like a market stall. The shape of the flag is a brand decision as much as a technical one — decide how you want the site to read, then buy the pole that carries it.
Height follows viewing distance, not ambition. The shorter poles at 2,7 to 3,4 m suit a shop entrance, a stand or a pavement position where the flag is read from a few metres. The taller options at 4,3 to 5,5 m are for a roadside, a car park or a forecourt, where the flag has to clear parked vehicles and be seen from a passing lane. Taller also means more sail area and more load on the base, so match the base to the pole rather than to the budget. Indoors, or under any kind of canopy, check the ceiling height before ordering — a 4,5 m pole is a purchase you make once and store for ever.
Supply the file at 1:1 scale, minimum 150 dpi, in CMYK, with fonts converted into curves. Accepted formats are tiff, jpg and pdf. Two things go wrong most often: artwork built in RGB, which shifts in colour when it is converted for print, and live text that reflows or substitutes on another machine. Converting fonts to curves removes that risk entirely. Keep important elements away from the curved leading edge on a teardrop shape — that edge wraps around the pole sleeve and takes a slice of the design with it.
