A promo stand topper is a printed panel that sits above a counter and lifts the branding from waist height to eye height. On an exhibition floor or in a supermarket aisle that is the difference between a counter people find and one they walk past, because a counter front is only visible to whoever is already standing in front of it.
The two models are fittings, not styles. The BASIC topper matches the standard promo counter frames; the Vertus topper matches the Vertus counter bodies. The panels do the same job, but the mounts are not interchangeable, so identify the counter you already own before ordering — this is the single most common ordering error on this product, and a topper that does not fit is not adjustable into one that does. If you are buying counter and topper together, decide the system first and the artwork second.
Visibility at distance. Counter graphics work at two metres; a topper works across a hall, which is what determines whether a tasting, a demonstration or an activation gets traffic or waits for it. The BASIC counter itself is built entirely from PVC, so it stays light enough for one person to carry and set up without tools, and it includes a shelf inside the counter body for stock, leaflets and the things that otherwise end up on the floor beside the stand. After the event everything packs into the supplied transport bag, which is what makes it viable for a team running several activations a week rather than one stand a year.
Supply files at a minimum of 150 dpi, in CMYK, at 1:1 scale, with fonts converted into curves, as tiff, jpg or pdf. Design the topper for distance and the counter front for the person standing at it: a logo and at most four or five words on the topper, detail below. Keep type well inside the panel edges, and remember the topper is usually read from below at an angle, so thin type and low-contrast colour combinations that look fine on screen disappear on the floor.

It lifts the branding from waist height to eye height. On an exhibition floor a counter without a topper is found by people already standing at it; a counter with one is found from across the hall.
BASIC is all-PVC — light, cheap and easy to carry, for short activations. Vertus matches the Vertus counter body and is the one to use when the counter is a permanent part of the stand.
