    Description

The GENOA advertising umbrella is a 2 by 2 metre square promotional parasol on an aluminium frame, printed and used as branded cover at events, stand fronts and venue entrances. It does two jobs at once: it shades a working area and it carries the branding at the height people see from across a car park or a market square.

Where a 2 by 2 metre square works

The square format covers a usable footprint while still standing in tight positions — beside an exhibition stand, in front of a venue door, over a tasting table or a registration desk at an outdoor event. It fits where a round parasol of the same shaded area would not, because the corners sit against walls and neighbouring stands instead of overhanging them. Think of it as cover for one working position and the people at it, not as shelter for a seated group.

    What the frame numbers mean

The structure is aluminium, with 48 mm outer legs and a 1,7 mm profile thickness, braced by crossbars. Read that as the frame being sized for repeated setting up and taking down rather than for a season standing in one spot. The whole umbrella weighs 5 kg and packs to 154 cm, which is the specification that matters most in practice: one person can carry it, it fits in a car rather than a van, and it can be moved during an event when the sun or the crowd moves. The trade-off comes with wind. A 5 kg umbrella is light enough to move on its own in a gust, so budget for ballast or a fixed base from the start, and take it down when the weather turns rather than trusting the frame to hold.

    How to supply the artwork

Supply files at a minimum of 150 dpi, in CMYK, at 1:1 scale, with all fonts converted into curves. Accepted formats are tiff, jpg and pdf. The panels are separate triangles, so a design that relies on a single image running unbroken around the canopy will be interrupted at every seam — put the logo and the message inside each panel instead. Remember that most of the audience reads the umbrella from below and from one side at a time, so one strong element per panel beats a detailed layout that only works flat on screen.

    Common questions

    2x2 m — is that enough cover?

It is a compact square format, chosen where space is limited rather than where shade is the priority: in front of a venue, at a stand entrance, on a narrow terrace.

    How sturdy is it outdoors?

Aluminium construction with 48 mm outer legs and 1,7 mm wall thickness, at 5 kg. Light enough to carry and specified for repeated event use rather than a season on a beach.

    Can the canopy be printed?

Yes — CMYK at 1:1, minimum 150 dpi, fonts as curves, in TIFF, JPG or PDF.
