    Description

A desk sign holder is a small angled frame for a printed sheet that changes often: a price, a table number, opening hours, a safety notice. The insert slides in from the top, so a change takes a second and no tools.

    Which model

Six profiles. The Crystal Display Stand is the plain acrylic wedge and the cheapest way to put a sheet on a counter. Prime and Platinum are heavier acrylic with a cleaner edge, which is what a reception desk or a hotel room needs. Stand Vista comes vertical or horizontal — choose it by the orientation of the artwork, not by the shape of the desk. Monni and Castro are the aluminium-profile holders and read as permanent fittings, so use them where the holder itself is on show all day.

    Which size

Four sizes, and the deciding question is the distance the sheet is read from. A7 and A6 are table-top formats — a number, a price, something read at arm’s length while seated. A5 is the counter size and carries a short list. A4 is for a sheet that has to be read standing up, from a metre or more, or that runs to more than a few lines. Going one size up is the usual fix when a sign is being ignored; going one size down is how a crowded counter stops looking cluttered.

    What goes wrong

Two things. The first is paper weight: an ordinary office print curls inside the holder within a week, and heavier stock keeps the sheet flat and the sign looking deliberate. The second is quantity. Holders get bought one at a time and then have to match — a restaurant that puts one on every table wants them identical, and a mixed set of profiles across a room reads as a series of small accidents. Decide the model once, then buy the room.

    Common questions

Which size for a restaurant table?

A6. A5 starts to dominate a laid table and A4 belongs on a counter or a lectern.

    Vertical or horizontal?

Match the artwork. A horizontal holder with a portrait sheet leaves a gap that reads as a mistake — decide the orientation before printing.

    Acrylic or aluminium?

Acrylic for anywhere the holder should disappear behind the sheet. Aluminium for a permanent position where it gets handled daily.
