A retractable belt post is the fastest queue you can build: a weighted base, a post, and a belt cassette that pulls out and clips into the next post. Move a post and the queue moves with it — which matters, because the queue is almost never where the floor plan said it would be.
Count the corners before you count the metres. Every direction change needs a post, every free end needs a post, and a run of five belt segments takes six posts. The end post is the one that gets forgotten, and a queue that stops in mid-air trains people to walk through the gap. Space the posts so each belt runs taut rather than stretched to the end of its cassette: a belt at full extension sags, pulls the posts inwards and eventually drags one over. Where the floor is smooth and busy, leave the posts a little closer together than looks necessary — people lean on belts.
The PREMIUM range is the workhorse: chrome, matte black or white posts with a red or black belt, for entrances, tills, event registration and back-of-house control. Black with a black belt is the discreet option that disappears into a dark interior; chrome with red is the one people actually see and obey, which is the point at an airport-style queue. The hotel ROYAL and MODERN posts, in golden and chrome, do the same job in a finish made for a lobby rather than a warehouse. Mixing ranges in one queue looks like a hire-in; keep a single finish per sightline.
Belt heads are available separately in black, blue, green, white and yellow, so a belt colour can be changed without replacing posts — useful when the colour has to follow a sponsor, a department or a safety convention. The A4 sign holder clips to the post top in chrome or matte black and turns a barrier into a wayfinding sign, which is usually cheaper and quicker than adding a separate sign stand to the same floor. Posts are supplied plain; printed belts and branded covers are quoted separately.
